Memorial Cup Day May 2023

Thanks to Gerry, Liz Flook, Carolyn Merrett and Tony Northcott for preparing the food and manning the barbecue for 50, and to Gary (and helper) for managing the scores. 32 players entered and 3 players (Oakley, Mike Hahner and Keith) won all their 3 pairs matches and with Oakley and Mike tied on points, Oakley triumphed on shots countback. Congratulations to Oakley on retaining the trophy he won last year 👏. The weather was kind to us – a successful and enjoyable day honouring the memories of past member.s

An enjoyable and successful open day on Monday – some of our new members will be along to our umbrella evening next week

A busy start to the 2023 season

A busy day yesterday – local cubs bowling on our green, welcomed by members, our Ladies winning their first league game of the season at Portishead and a Men’s friendly at Bath. Fresh air, exercise and fun!

A very enjoyable day for this year’s Memorial Cup. Fast and fun games followed by a delicious barbecue. Congratulations to Oakley who won the cup.

May 2nd Open Day

On Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May, Knowle Bowling Club are holding an open day between 10am and 3pm. Just drop in at anytime – all ages welcome; there will be experienced bowlers to provide advice, games, refreshments and the bar will be open! All you need are some flat shoes as everything else will be provided.

Bowls is fun, sociable and helps you get or keep active. Why not give it a try?
